Welcome to the Menopause Institute, a division of the South Florida Woman's Health associates. Started in 1997, it has been dedicated to the study and treatment of the menopause utilizing bioidentical hormone replacements. After extensive research by its founder Dr. Edward Eckert before anyone was talking about it, he developed a program that has been proven efficacious, safe and successful to the more than ten thousand participants, prescribing more than 200,000 months of therapy.

The basis of our success is the ongoing communication between our practitioners and their staff and the patients. We have found that treating hormonal problems is a constant evolving process that requires individualization and patient involvement.

A special focus has been the partner and the quality of the relationship. This involves sexual issues, the stresses of emotional changes and quality of life determinations.

Evaluation and maintenance of bone health and breast cancer prevention has always been a focus of our therapy program. In house bone scans and ultrasound under the certification of AIUM makes it convenient and efficient in the evaluation of these issues.

The emphasis has been and always will be the specific patients' needs that require one on one interaction with our doctors and the staff. Phone interviews are available for those outside the area. Pre-interview documentation is required to insure the quality of our health care delivery system.

Our division takes pride in its desire to take on difficult cases. This includes those with breast cancer, autoimmune diseases, osteoporosis, bladder difficulties and those with special needs. We rely on historical records, patient history, symptomatolgy review and blood work to arrive at our specific damaging.
